Lending out employees is legally much more complicated in Germany than in the Netherlands. For example, in Germany a permit is required for the temporary deployment of personnel to third parties. This is laid down in the "Gesetz zur Regelung der gewerbsmäßigen Arbeitnehmerüberlassungsgesetz" (AÜG). This law also lays down various rules that must ensure the protection of temporary workers and fair competition. For example, in addition to the permit requirement, maximum terms, the principle of equal pay and various restrictions apply in sectors such as construction.
